Touching the Mind and Spirit of
Our Reel PROs Members


Reel PROs is not just a company that produces great workshops and an extraordinary in-house talent directory. The roots of Reel PROs not only spread through the entertainment industry, but reach out to the acting community in diverse ways, as the landscape of the moment dictates. Some of our projects have included:

  • DreamCatcher, free seminars led by well known or up-and-coming actors in the industry (and some of them alumni of Reel PROs)

  • Free seminars by leading book authors in the entertainment field

  • Hurricane Katrina Donation Fund for the families of some of our members

  • Haiti Earthquake Relief Information in Newsletter

  • Memorial funds for several of our members

  • Annual Valentine's Teddy Bear Drive for underprivileged children

  • Ongoing contributions to the following charities:
    • Angelus Girl Scouts of America
    • The Charlie Foundation (research on child epilepsy)

  • A political action newsletter, "Pro-ject", written by our members, for our members

    • Past discussions include:
      • SAG/AFTRA TV/film contract
      • The merger campaign of the official SAG/AFTRA leaders
      • The controversy of the 2005 interactive media agreement
      • Motivating actors to vote in SAG elections
      • Ageism/sexism; runaway productions; health/pension issues
      • Q&A forums held at RP with the 2005 Candidates for SAG presidency
